If you’ve been following long you know that I do a big “cookie week” every December.

I even wrote a whole post on it just awhile back…you can view that here if you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about.
Being that I just started a new job I can hardly ask for any days off or schedule any PTO days yet. I decided that I would condense Cookie week into a cookie ‘WEEKEND’.

When I first found out I got my job I planned ahead by making some batches of cookie dough and freezing them. I had two sugar cookie batches, a choc roll out batch, a peanut butter batch all frozen and waiting.
That was the smartest thing EVER!
I plan on doing this EVERY year whether or not I take time off to do a full Cookie Week. One whole day was saved by premaking that dough! I was able to do ALL my sugar roll outs, choc roll outs, ginger bread men, peanut butter roll outs and some regular peanut butter circles and my peanut butter kiss cups today. ALL of those….that is HUGE. AND I took a 2 hour nap mid way through to let Little play the Xbox since I had it playing Christmas Vacation all day…
I didn’t start til 9 am…and finished and had the kitchen cleaned up by 9pm.

That is a record.
Tomorrow is butterscotch chip cookies, choc chip cookies, oatmeal choc chip …basically all the “drop” cookies….plus my all time favorite Cherry Winks.
Here is everything I made today.

And for those wondering…I make everything from scratch EXCEPT..the gingerbread men ( I used the betty crocker pouch -add an egg, 1 T water and a stick of butter) because those ingredients aren’t ones I would use for ANYTHING else so it isn’t cost-effective and peanut butter kiss cups…I used pillsbury logs of dough. Cheaper and easier for those.
Here is today’s bounty…
I see some serious cookie decorating coming up!
Happy Cookie Weekend!
